Erin McKenna Nowak, has been creating art and day dreaming about weddings since she was a little girl. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a focus on graphic design and printmaking from Alfred University in 1995. Working in New York City, Chicago and Providence, RI, Erin has been everything from a children’s book designer to the art director of several medical magazines. In 2004 Erin started Bride Design, a company that creates unique, handmade wedding stationery and accessories reflecting the personal style and romance of each individual couple she works with.

In the summer of 2004 Erin met Jennifer Comfort, owner and sugar artist at She Takes The Cake. Jen introduced the fabulous idea of an edible invitation to Erin and suddenly the Invitastion™  was born! In early 2005 the first of Erin’s two daughters was born and with that, her line of baby announcements, baptism and first birthday invitations, children’s stationery and holiday cards blossomed. Erin continues to be inspired by the world around her each and every day. She is constantly coming up with new designs and cherishes every opportunity she gets to create.
